Casinos, Beaches, and Civil War History (oops, I mean "Confederate War" History)

Spent the day touring historic downtown Biloxi (didn't take long) and driving along Beach Blvd looking at old homes before getting to Beauvoir, Jefferson Davis' last home, where we spent a good portion of our afternoon.  It was a surprisingly interesting little museum they had on Jeff, President of our former(?) Confederate States of America.  We found the artifacts and exhibits quite interesting, more so than the house itself.  We got to watch a movie as well, which told us the real story of the Civil War (those power hungry northerners and their federalist ways!).  Afterward, we took a walk along the beachside boardwalk, which unfortunately runs right along M-90, but it was still not a bad place for a stroll.  The evening activities consisted of visiting three casinos (Imperial Palace, Grand, and Beau Rivage - which is owned by Mirage/Bellagio and reminds one of Bellagio).  The most fun was the "talent show" (American Idol rip-off) that the local Fox station was sponsoring at the Longhorn Bar in the Grand Casino.  There we watched decent and terrible singers try it out to become the next superstar of Biloxi.  We'll be turning in early so we can try to make some time tomorrow on our way to Natchez, Louisiana, where we'll be spending the next three nights.  Then it's off to New Orleans for four nights.

This means we won't have internet access for four nights, which means no website updates!!!  Finally, a much needed vacation from our 'work'.
