We've thoroughly enjoyed our time in Spain visiting with Daniel
and Leonne and adopting the easy pace and routine of their life
here in Saifores: shopping in the various local food markets,
visiting the internet cafe to catch up on e-mail, preparing and
enjoying leisurely meals on their lovely and romantic outdoor
dining terrace and enjoying the cool ocean breezes while
lounging on the beautiful, yet uncrowded Mediterranean beach at
Sant Salvadore. It is easy to see why Daniel and Leonne
enjoy spending all the time they can here!
We spent a perfect, final evening in Spain in the charming, small city of Tarragona. Daniel and Leonne showed us all the interesting Roman ruins that still exist and that the town has modernized itself around. The historic center is simply made for aimless, slow wandering along the narrow, quaint streets and the newer part of town has a wonderful rambla with lots of great modern shopping that was just perfect for an evening paseo. We ended our evening at a delightful little tapas bar where we enjoyed our delicious, small Spanish snacks and tiny glasses of wine at a sidewalk table, amid the bustle of locals taking their evening meal. But now, it's time for us to go. Our kind hosts have dropped us off at the conveniently tiny Reus airport, and we'll soon board a plane bound for Frankfurt, Germany, to begin the next phase of our adventure! Thanks for a great week, you guys! We hope to see you again soon! |
