It was our third time up to the hiking trails around Jemez
Springs, about an hour and 45 minutes northwest of Albuquerque,
where this time we decided to take an 'off the map' hike down a
trail that we were driving past. So we pulled over at Las
Conchas trailhead, which leads to part of the East Fork Trail.
An easy, flat walk down the banks of a river, it's so beautiful
you must remember to ask us to take you there next time you're
visiting us here in Albuquerque. We practically had the
trail to ourselves - with the exception of the occasional
intrusion of a chipmunk here or there.
Rocky cliffs all along the
stream add to the scenery

Lovely Jemez area

Don't touch that handrail too hard... it's not exactly stable!

Fat chipmunks abound on this trail
